Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), Senior Accountants play a vital role in ensuring accurate, compliant financial reporting—managing journal entries, complex reconciliations, and GAAP-aligned deliverables. With a focus on precision and integrity, you’ll support key financial processes that drive informed decisions and business success.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  1. Journal Activities
  • Participate in month-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies to reduce the close cycle duration.

 

  1. General Ledger Maintenance
  • Perform and review complex monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and intercompany balances; post eliminating journal entries.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheets and general ledgers.

 

  1. Financial Reporting 
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Create schedules and provide documentation for quarterly reviews and year-end external audits.
  • Research and resolve issues, clarify data, and compile supporting evidence.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of GL chart of accounts.
  • Handle accruals, fixed assets, and revenue recognition activities in accordance with accounting standards.

 

  1. Documentation
  • Substantiate financial transactions by maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Verify and analyze records, transactions, and business procedures for accuracy and compliance.

 

  1. Safety
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use proper lifting techniques. 

 

  1. Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lift items no more than 50 lbs.   
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.

 

  1. Miscellaneous

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
  • Some mentoring and review experience.
  • Previous public accounting experience is a big plus.
  • The flexibility, time management, and maturity to handle the ebb and flow of assignments is as important as the technical and analytical skills required to be successful in this position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting or Finance.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • 4-7 experience in the accounting with progressive growth.
  • Previous experience working for large organization.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Experienced working with/ manipulating large amounts in Excel
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

  • Base: $90,000- $101,000 per year
  • Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range

Min: USD $95,000.00/Yr., Max: USD $110,000.00/Yr.
