Overview

Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), the Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring warehouse efficiency and accuracy by unloading inbound freight, inspecting materials for damage or shortages, and delivering products to the appropriate department for the second stage of receiving. This role requires safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks, strong communication with internal departments, and the ability to support additional tasks as directed by the Distribution Manager.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  1. Receiving & Inspection     
  • Unload and inspect inbound freight for accuracy, damage, or shortages.
  • Ensure proper entry of freight locations within SAP.
  • Deliver materials to designated departments for secondary processing.

 

  1. Organization & Maintenance      
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving lane.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.

 

  1. Cross-Department Support
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse and distribution teams.
  • Assist other departments with tasks as directed by the Distribution Manager

 

  1. Miscellaneous
  • Support our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift experience (certification preferred).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

  • Base: $25 per hour
  • Bonus: Not Eligible
  • Job Type: Full-Time
