Position Overview

The Quality & CI Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous evolution of quality systems and continuous improvement strategy across manufacturing operations. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in establishing standards, prioritizing initiatives, and driving operational improvements that significantly impact efficiency, cost structure, and product quality.

 

The position serves as a key functional leader, partnering with operations and senior leadership to align quality and continuous improvement objectives with broader business goals

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate and redesign manufacturing processes to eliminate inefficiencies and optimize performance
  • Establish and drive adoption of lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Just-In-Time production
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events to enhance operational performance
  • Develop organizational capabilities through training and coaching on lean and quality methodologies
 
Leadership & Team Management
  • Directly supervise, coach, and develop team members, including performance management and hiring recommendations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
 
Workflow Optimization & Cost Management
  • Design and optimize production workflows to improve throughput and reduce cycle time
  • Balance workloads across production lines to enhance efficiency
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across materials, labor, and overhead
  • Own performance measurement and reporting of cost reduction initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial objectives
 
Quality Planning & Control
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans, procedures, and standards
  • Define product and process quality specifications
  • Oversee quality control systems, including inspection protocols and testing methodologies
  • Utilize statistical methods and quality tools to detect, analyze, and resolve defects
 
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts and approve corrective and preventive action plans
  • Implement and monitor corrective actions to address quality issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test results, and corrective actions
 
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor and analyze production and quality metrics to ensure performance targets are met
  • Prepare and present reports on quality trends and operational performance to leadership
  • Lead internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
 
Compliance & Audits
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Support and participate in internal and external audits and assessments
 
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and corporate objectives
 
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in lean manufacturing and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and quality control tools
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication and training skills

 

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
  • Base: $130,000 - $150,000 per year
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $130,000 - $165,000
  • Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants
